Valve has to update CS:GO with Source 2 which surely will resolve the issue, and I hope it really happens as soon as possible, I've been waiting for years! So far it is pretty much the only reason I have Windows running in Boot Camp, really. Hence no, another month or two won't help the issue, as it has nothing to do with macOS updates in the first place, unfortunately. Every crosshair that you see has something different to offer and we’ll describe the pros and cons of using these crosshair settings in the game.

Even running at lowest settings and 1536x960 on macOS, it stutters while playing (especially noticeable when you shoot), while running it on Windows does not have the aforementioned behavior: running the game at 2304x1440 on mid-high settings gives stable 60 FPS with no stutters (and if I clean my MBP from dust it can show the same level on performance on native 3072x1920). I can see CS:GO having the same behavior on 2019 16" rMBP with Radeon Pro 5500M. Set 'Screen refresh rate:' to 144 Hertz, click 'Apply' and press 'OK' - you're done ALT + TAB Launch Options. The reason I believe so is that all Source 1 games used to have this behavior for me (when I ran them on 2012 15" rMBP): they all ran okay on Windows but randomly stuttered on macOS even on lower settings. I imagine it has something to do with the fact the Source 1 engine cannot be ported "well" without breakages, or Valve simply doesn't want to do so. More likely because the port is pretty poor.
