Anything close to $1,000 and you should just pay similar money for the base MacBook Air with M1. They're only worth buying if you can snag them for well under $900.

It's faster than most Windows laptops too. We haven't tested it yet, but it's the model to buy if you often use more intensive applications, like video editing or coding software. However, it has a fan that lets the processor get a little warmer and eke out more power over a longer period of time. The new MacBook Pro with M1 isn't dramatically speedier than the MacBook Air.
